Why join a Be You Implementation Session

It’s like diving into a pool full of ideas from other people.

Oct 29, 2021

After registering with Be You as a whole learning community, book a Be You Implementation Session.

Implementation Sessions are great places for sharing practice and learning with educators and learning communities across Australia.

Whether you are attending a Be You Conversation, Spotlight or Connected Community, having professional conversations with other educators and Be You Consultants in these online spaces creates opportunities to gain insights, understanding and share knowledge and skills in embedding mental health and wellbeing in your everyday practice.

Supporting your action planning by attending regularly

Educators have shared with Consultants that it has been very useful to attend Implementation Sessions regularly to support their teams in actioning their Be You plans.

Take away actions from the sessions have included:

  • Communicating professionally about mental health with families
  • Reflecting and utilising appropriate language from Be You resources
  • Introducing Be You tools to the team
  • Whole of learning community growth.

Be You Consultant Carmen said: "A Family Day Care scheme and a Long Day Care service used Be You online spaces to connect, reflect and share learning throughout the year with several educators from each service participating regularly.

The Family Day Care coordinator shared how much her team have grown in terms of confidence to navigate the Be You website and use the tools and resources available.”

Continuous improvement

To ensure these online spaces reflect the needs and interests of participating learning communities, Consultants have taken on feedback and continuously review to improve them. This has shaped the current Be You Conversations and Be You Spotlights for early learning services.

Supporting implementation through the different types of sessions

Be You Conversations are places to drop in, bring questions, get inspiration, share ideas and have professional conversations. This enables educators to grow in confidence, identify barriers, scaffold and trouble shoot.

Be You Spotlights
provide opportunities to connect about a specific Be You focus, unpack tools and domains.

A great session! These are very valuable, especially having a specific topic to discuss and focus on. Thank you so much for presenting this information. I will be sharing the BETLS tool with colleagues.

Be You Connected Communities are unique online spaces for conversation and connecting that have evolved from the interests, needs and choices of educators participating in Be You.

There are no expectation, just opportunities
