Aims
Wings to Fly is a social and emotional wellbeing program for children from birth to five years. It is designed to support early childhood educators to optimise their practice to improve overall outcomes for children. The program focus is on building a way of working which supports children's social and emotional development and builds resilience. Educators will develop a better understanding of brain development and attachment theory, and engage in learning experiences to better cultivate calm, nurturing learning environments which prioritise connection and belonging for young children.Program theory
Wings to Fly is based upon social learning theory (Vygotsky), positive psychology (Seligman), neuroscience (Siegel and Perry), cognitive behaviour therapy (Beck and Ellis) and attachment theory (Bowlby).Topics
Modules include sense of identity; connectedness and belonging; feeling calm, breathing, sensory awareness; self-awareness; social awareness; learned optimism; problem-solving; resilience.Cost
