Aims
The Peaceful Kids program is a mindfulness and positive psychology???based program to lessen anxiety and stress and increase resilience in children in primary school. This program helps children to build their emotional resilience so they are better equipped to deal with the day-to-day stresses that life brings them.Program theory
The program is based on evidence-based therapy and research from the mindfulness based stress reduction (MBSR) program, mindfulness-integrated cognitive behaviour therapy (MiCBT), positive psychology and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT).Topics
Sessions include learning a range of mindfulness strategies and meditations, effective coping strategies and positive psychology exercises. Areas covered include mindfulness, positive psychology, problem-solving strategies, journalling, strategies to help prevent stress, self-regulation strategies and support-seeking.Cost
