Fostering a thriving workplace

Beyond Self-care: An Educator Wellbeing Guide

This guide is designed to help leaders and Action Teams consider educator wellbeing as a shared responsibility. It includes practical advice, activities and case studies to help you and your staff build a thriving workplace.

Actions Catalogue

A collection of actions you can take to support positive mental health across your learning community, with a section about promoting educator wellbeing. Actions include simple activities (‘quick wins’) and longer-term ones designed to support a whole learning community approach. 

Creating a staff wellbeing policy

A wellbeing policy is a clear commitment to supporting mental health in your learning community. It can be a strong step towards positively shaping practice as well as developing helpful processes and structures. Read about how you can create a policy for your learning community.

Tools for Action Teams

If you're part of a registered Be You Learning Community, you have access to a range of planning and implementation tools that can support a whole learning community approach to mental health and wellbeing. These include surveys and tools for reflective practice, along with an Action Plan template to record your early learning service or school's wellbeing goals.
